Final Review of A3 Hand In Portfolio

Reviewing my portfolio, im actually pretty impressed with the final outcome of it. Increasing about 8 pieces of my work from the last time when i first handed them in, ive created better and more attractive work using techniques and emperience ive learnt over the year.

I would probably say that my vehicle design, environment design and weapons design are my favourite three pieces as I think that the rendering, colours and individuality of the pieces compared to the others is at a much better standard then the rest.

I would probably say the piece of works that imleast appreciative of are my antagonist design and person as me.

I think me as a person looks nice in full detail and works but the actual anatomy of the piece is inappropiate and is over exaggerated. The antagonist work after improvements looks better then the last piece as ive added more detail but the rendering of parts such as the hands looks ridiculous. But anatomy wise and rendering of the clothes looks nicer and is easier on the eye then the last piece.

Overall ,I think my A3 portfolio is good and shows the amount of effort I worked into it this year as I couldnt even use a graphics tablet at the beginning of the year, didnt know much about rendering and had hardly the skill i have now at the end of the year in photoshop. This portfolio shows my overall progression in 2D game art and how ive improved in photoshop, skillin the graphics tablet and drawing

Storyboards

This si the Storyboard I created for a Small FMV. Apart from missing out the last shot and the one before it being ridiculous and not looking right at all in face proportions, I appreciate my storyboard to an extent. The simple monochromatic shading design I did for the whole document I think worked and was appropiate to the shwoing what happens in each shot
